Spirits In The Park Inaugural All-inclusive SPIRITS TASTING Event on May Long Weekend

Langley, B.C. – Red Door Events–a leader in the craft beverage festival industry and producer of Brewhalla Festivals–has announced the first annual Spirits in the Park event at Fort Langley Park on Sunday, May 19 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. The event is a part of Langley Craft Beverage Week, and is hosted in partnership The Barley Merchant Taproom & Kitchen which sells exclusively B.C. spirits, beer, wine, and cider.

Tickets to the festival include access to the event, an afternoon of live music, a 5 oz Whisky tasting glass, spirit tastings from over 10 distilleries, as well as tastings from local breweries and cideries. There will be a “Brewhalla Mix Bar” at the festival where attendees can create their own cocktail with a selection of local non-alcoholic beverages. Attendees are also encouraged to bring their own food, blanket or chairs and have a picnic in the park.

“This event will be a really great opportunity to sip and sample many of these locally made spirits and introduce folks to local alternatives to the mass-produced options in the marketplace,” says Tim Lahay, owner and operator of The Barley Merchant Taproom & Kitchen.

Shelter Point and The Liberty Distillery will offer premium, award-winning whisky tastings throughout the afternoon. Additional distilleries include Arbutus Distillery, Roots and Wings Distillery, Driftwood Spirits, Mainland Whisky, Sheringham Distillery, Taynton Bay Spirits, and Forbidden Spirits Distilling Co. Breweries and cideries include Fraser Valley Cidery, Locality Brewing, Smugglers Trail Caskworks, Camp Beer Co., Farm Country Brewing, Brookswood Brewing Co., Trading Post Brewing, Five Roads Brewing Co., and Dead Frog Brewery.
